Before commencing the setup, ensure that you have the following prerequisites:

  1. Domain name

  2. Domain email address

  3. Email client configuration settings

  4. Gmail account (Create one at https://accounts.google.com/signup)

Steps

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.

  2. Click on the Settings cog icon in the top right corner.

  3. Select Settings from the drop-down menu.

  1. Navigate to the Accounts tab.

  2. In the "Check mail from other accounts" section, click on "Add a mail account."

  1. Enter your domain email address.

  1. Click "Next Step."

  2. Input the username (full email address) and password for the account.

  3. Enter the account POP server information (obtained from the POP3 settings section here).

    • Ensure correct server and port information.

    • For Secure SSL/TLS settings, choose Port 995; for Non-SSL settings, choose Port 110.

  1. Choose from the options:

    • Leave a copy of the retrieved message on the server.

    • Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.

    • Label incoming messages.

    • Archive incoming messages (optional).

  2. Verify settings and click "Add Account."

  3. After importing your domain email account, you will be prompted to send mail as this address. Opting for this allows composing emails in Gmail while sending from the domain email account.

  1. Enter your name and click "Next Step."

  1. Input SMTP Server information (Outgoing email setting).

    • For Secure SSL/TLS settings, select Port 465.

    • For Non-SSL settings, select Port 25.

    • Do not use your domain email as an alias to avoid sending emails using your Gmail address.

  2. Enter your email address as your username and your domain email account password.

  3. Check the "Secured connection using SSL" option for Secure SSL/TLS settings.

  2. Enter the confirmation code received in your domain email account.

After successfully importing your domain email account to Gmail:

  1. Navigate to Settings from the cog icon menu in Gmail.

  2. Go to the Accounts tab.

  3. In the "Send Mail As" section, click "make default" next to the domain email address. This ensures that every email is sent via your domain email address by default.
